Diálogos sin palabras

At twenty-three years old, I was enjoying my best moment personally and musically. Then, in the blink of an eye, a horrible pandemic forced me to isolate myself at my parent’s home. Everything seemed to be crumbling down.

 

Although difficult at times, I tried to keep my head held high, with a positive outlook on life, and trying to keep enjoying through my learning of music. On top of that, José María, my unconditional companion in this adventure, walked every step with me. He has been the only person I have been able to make music with during this year and a half, a great honour I am pleased to have had. The result of that adventure: our first record.

Diálogos sin palabras (Dialogues Without Words) is a musical project we developed during 2020 and 2021. It is a positive response to dark times, full of life and optimism to face times of suffering, illness, and death. This beautiful dialogue has moved us, entertained us, enriched us, transformed us, and, most importantly, it has made us feel alive. A musical response to silent times.

Diálogos sin palabras contains those pieces that our hearts made us perform, and in the way they led us to do so. Clarinet and piano take us on a journey through new and forgotten pieces; emblematic works for clarinet, and others not so well-known, if at all. Either way, this is a beautiful voyage through music, which, at every listen, makes these pandemic times nicer and more pleasing.

 

Diálogos sin palabras undoubtedly constitutes an invitation to life.
